Program Description - European Studies Minor
SpacerThe European Studies Minor is an interdisciplinary program that introduces students to the diverse cultures and nations of Europe through the study of history, literature, languages, visual arts, economics, business, politics, religion and society. In addition, the program culminates in a required European Studies capstone course where students will have the opportunity to synthesize their interdisciplinary knowledge. Students are strongly encouraged to spend one summer or semester in a study abroad program located in Europe.
SpacerIn fulfilling their general education requirements students who wish to complete this minor are required to complete History 101 and 102 (or Honors 120 and 130) or the equivalent and to attain proficiency in an ancient or modern European language equivalent to the 202 level.
