Program
Description - European Studies Minor
The European Studies
Minor is an interdisciplinary program that introduces students
to the diverse cultures and nations of Europe through the
study of history, literature, languages, visual arts, economics,
business, politics, religion and society. In addition,
the program culminates in a required European Studies capstone
course where students will have the opportunity to synthesize
their interdisciplinary knowledge. Students are strongly
encouraged to spend one summer or semester in a study abroad
program located in Europe.
In
fulfilling their general education requirements students
who wish to complete this minor are required to complete
History 101 and 102 (or Honors 120 and 130) or the equivalent
and to attain proficiency in an ancient or modern European
language equivalent to the 202 level. |
